| Clinic Tour
Even before you walk through our doors, you'll see immediately that this clinic was designed for you and your pet's comfort and convenience.
The first thing you will notice are separate entrances and waiting areas for cats and dogs. Cats to the left, dogs to the right. Our friendly receptionists will greet you right away and check you in for your pet's appointment.
Once inside, cats have the option of watching fish frolic in our large aquarium as they await their appointment.
Dogs have a larger space in which to move and check out other dogs, toys, and bags of food. Each waiting area is stocked with foods, supplements, toys, grooming aids, and more for your convenience.
Each exam room is large and features soothing natural colors to help maintain the relaxed feeling. Our experienced technicians and assistants will begin your pet's appointment by talking to you about your pet's current health history, and may gather some samples of blood and stool to begin any required tests.
Back in the laboratory, we are able to run emergency bloodwork to determine your pet's current level of organ function and blood counts, as well as blood glucose and heartworm tests.
Our Pharmacy is large and fully stocked in order to provide you with medications conveniently and cost-effectively.
"The Back," also known as the treatment room, is that mysterious region where your pet may be taken in order to perform anal gland expression or blood draws. Tubs make cleaning up messy jobs a breeze, and the large open areas often make pets feel more relaxed.
If you ever need to drop off your pet, he or she will stay in a comfortable kennel, equipped with fluffy faux sheepskin beds, in the main treatment area where we can keep an eye on everyone and cuddle them from time to time!
Cat boarding has its own separate room, complete with panoramic windows so that cats can be entertained by the antics of the squirrels, lizards and birds that about in our wetland setting.
To ensure the safety of your pet while in our clinic, we have a special Isolation Ward for potentially infectious cases.
Surgeries take place in our modern operating room, or OR. The operating room is cleaned after each surgery and deep cleaned at the end of each surgery day. Surgery recovery takes place on warm water circulating blankets in our special surgery recovery condo. This area enables pets to wake up slowly and pleasantly in a warm, safe environment. Once they are fully recovered and walking around, they are moved back to their individual kennels to await your arrival to pick them up.
The last room on our tour is our library. The library can function as a venue for relaxation and acupuncture, but is also often used as a quiet, secluded area for pet euthanasia. Although no one wants to think about this aspect of pet care, it is nice to have a separate place for owners and pets to spend their last moments together in as much comfort as possible. |
